The pattern of NIFT examination

There is a written examination that involves 2 papers, to be written on the same day. There is a three hour creative ability test referred to as CAT along with a 2 hour examination termed as  a general ability test. The former is a drawing paper, while the latter happens to be a MCQ pattern question paper, which is 150 questions and that needs to be attempted in 2 hours. The paper is embedded with 35 questions on general English, passages on comprehension which involves 6 to 8 in number and that needs to be completed in 30 minutes, questions on analytical reasoning ( 30 in number) business domain ( 30 questions) and quantitative  comprising of 25 questions.

The preparation method of NIFT examination

The pattern of GAT goes on to contain questions, on subjects like reasoning, mathematics (which is being taught till class 10 or basic math’s) along with English language or comprehensions. In case of the business domain segment it needs a three way approach with studies in General knowledge, fashion industry affairs or an extensive idea about current affairs

All the academic subjects can be studied through the classroom contact programs. It is a reputed or a trusted place, or you can go on to adopt the method of self study with the help of better competitive preparation books, in the market you can prepare for the exam. But on a personal level my advice would be to opt for individual books rather than an all in one format the main reason for it is that an individualized approach on each subject is the need of the hour. This same pattern is also suggested for Nid coaching in Delhi.  You need to work time bound during the preparation of this exam, and this involves both the papers

The questions are based on syntax and grammar.  Some of the common areas from which questions are asked include cloze test, spot the errors, fill in the blanks, synonyms, one word substitution, and fill in the blanks. The need of the hour is to work on your vocabulary in an extensive manner

Creative ability test

Here the concepts of three dimensions come into play ,which includes product design, color rendering, human figure, personal mentor supervision, communication skills with a visual pattern.

Some of the common topics covered are ratio, profit and loss, simple or compound interest, probability along with time and interest.

The key to over come this exam is to focus more on your weakness while working on your strengths.
